My new HP Pavilion 15t-S200 running Windows 10 has a flawed relationship with my C4280 printer. Word and Excel can access the printer and print on it, but the Control Panel - Printers does not see that it exists at all, even when I try to Add an older printer. My big problems is that i need to scan a multi-page document. HP SOlutions will not even run saying the device setup is not complete and that I should use a USB or CD. I do not have a CD and the printer is hooked up to my computer using a USB connection.
There are no items on the start menu called "HP Help Files".
Your support center previous questions suggested running the HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.3.1 - it ran most of the way through, even giving a green mark to HO Solutions Center, before giving me an error about the front display panel. It then successfully scanned a test page and saved it on my laptop. . But I still could not use the Solution Center to scan my document,.

I clicked the link, downloaded the file and ran it. It cheerfully ended successfully and invited me to install another device.
A box showed up on this screen (not pictured) suggesting I do a 'full installation.' I did that and got this screen, suggesting it worked
However, when I try to run the HP Solution Center, I get the same screen that I pasted above. "HP Solution can't run because the device installation is not complete."
Thanks for trying, but this fix didn't help.
