CP5225
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

My office has installed a new Colour laser CP5225 and It won't print immediately.

The job remains in the print queue for sometime (several minutes or longer) then eventually prints

I can print it by restarting the printer.

In MS office the printer is showing as "off line" until it eventually prints

Printer is networked.

My IT dept says there's no setting to tell it to print immediately and to wake on request.

I've tried delaying the sleep but it just doesn't print straight away which is very frustrating. What am I missing?

Check what driver and port type were configured. Best performance is using a Standard TCP/IP port and an HP driver. Windows often auto-configures with a WSD port and an IPP print driver which are very erratic in performance and often show the printer offline when it is not.
