The colours red and yellow is printing belov and over below where the other colors are printing. I have tried removing and reseating the toner cartridges to no effect. There are no error messages and HP Print and Scan Doctor finds no errors. The calibrating program started from Printer panel does no chanfe. It reports that it calibrate but nothing happens and I hve no chanse to jump in to say what I will calibrate...Yellow down, red up, cyan down, black ok. Can anyone give me working instructions for solving this problem? It's a LaserJet CP1525nw (color laserjet). Still going strong if this could be corrected! It has been in others hands so I don't know what has happened and when.

I found the solution for My self!
There is a wheel in the rear door for feeding paper. It was very much colored. There was same type of coloring as on the testing document. I cleaned this wheel with chemical spray and to My very big surprise this seemed to be the solution.

I changed also the cyan toner because it was going to be empty but I don't think that it had anyting to do with fixing the problem.

Anyway, it's now working!

Best advice I can give is to first perform a factory reset. Then perform 3 full calibrations of the printer and that should solve the issue. Also if the interior of the printer is dirty from toner or dust it can cause misreads of the calibration sensors and they would need to be cleaned.

I'm sorry but it didn't help! I'm not so sure what You mean with factory reset. I could reset to factory settings but not how to reset factory settings. I did several cleanings and calibrations but nothing changes. Why is this automatic? Why cann't I give hints what to do, I have seen this cind of solutions somewhere. 

I found out how to do Hard Factory Reset but it did not help :´-(

Must I really throw avay a functional printer only because Hp don't want to help Me with calibrating the colours.
It must be a manual way to do it!
I have run cleaning, I don't know how many times, the paper comes out completely white.
Now I run Hard factory reset 3 times and calbrating from pc 3 times and calibrating from the printer 3 tims. Result: No differenses at all.
I have done this manually on other printers.

The coloring I cleaned away has come back but now is the calibration ok.
This was complete black, no colours at all, after cleaning.
This was some kind of panic solution from My side.

That is the secondary transfer roller. Depending on the chemical you used it may stop performing properly and you might want to consider sourcing a replacement.

As I wrote! The printer is now working all right. I really don't understand Your answer here.
Using wrong chemicals should not give a functional printer, what I now have. So Yeas, doing this needs someone who knows how to do this. I know what chemicals I can use on different equipments, some other reading this do not necessary know. 
My very big surprice is that cleaning this secondary tranfer roller solved My problem, but the fact that the roller get colored has perhaps something to do with this.
A complete information how this stupid self calibration works could be interesting.

Calibrations work like this. The printer lays down a pattern on the transfer belt like you are seeing on the roller. Then sensors read that pattern and make adjustable to the timing of how each color is written to make them line up.

 

My previous answer is related to long term affects of any chemicals to the composition of the rollers as they are typically made of sponge materials and changes in the surface affect how it retains the static charge needed to transfer the image from the belt to the paper. It was only a warning and if your printer works fine that is good.
