No, the printer will not accept a black cartridge in the color slot. It will be rejected, and if you do force the black cartridge into the color slot it will be difficult to remove without damaging the printer. Do not try it.
You might consider using XL size cartridges if you are not already using these. The XL black cartridge is rated for about three times that of the standard size cartridge (600 pages for XL vs. 200 for standard black).

It is not possible to install 2 black cartrdiges as each cartridge holder is designed differently.
