Hi @Dale0731,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet Plus 4155 All-In-One Printer is experiencing sleep mode issues and is not waking up properly, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
- Update Firmware/Software: Ensure that your printer's firmware and software are up to date. Visit the official HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware and software updates if available.
- Check Power Settings: Verify the power settings on the printer. Some printers have configurable sleep mode settings. Access the printer settings through the control panel or the HP Smart app and adjust the sleep mode settings.
- Reset Power: When the printer is stuck in sleep mode, try turning it off using the power button, unplugging it from the power source, and waiting for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.
- Network Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the network. Sometimes, issues with the network connection can lead to sleep mode problems. Check the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection settings on the printer.
- Reset Network Settings: If the printer is connected wirelessly, try resetting the network settings. You can usually find this option in the printer settings menu. After resetting, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Disable Sleep Mode (Temporary): As a temporary solution, you can try disabling sleep mode altogether. Keep in mind that this might not be an ideal long-term solution, but it can help you determine if the sleep mode is the root cause of the problem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
