Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer :  HP D1663

Issue:

I am not able to find HP 121 ink which has been prescribed for HP D1663 printer either online or in nearby shop to refill my cartridges.

Can i just buy any HP ink such as HP 680 or 678 or any other brand ink for my HP D1663 printer?

No,

The HP Deskjet D1663 can only use HP 121 cartridge in the Middle East, Africa, Japan or CIS:

Thanks Shlomi for your reply. I do understand that HP D1663 printer can use only HP 121 ink cartridge. The ink in the HP 121 cartridge has got over and i am not able to find HP 121 ink to refill these cartridges in India anywhere. I contacted the HP support center in India and they replied that since this printer was not bought in India, they don't have the HP 121 ink.

 

What i wanted to know was what black refill ink ( should be available in India) can i use for HP 121 cartridge ?

Thanks for clarifying that you've moved with the printer from one cartridge to another, that is a different story.

 

In India, you should use the HP 818 Black and Tri-Color cartridges with an HP Deskjet D1600 printer series.

 

You should purchase genuine and in-warranty HP 818 cartridges from a local retailer, then contact HP Support in India to perform a pen regionalization for the printer to accept the cartridges available in your new country from now on.
