HP Envy 7640 All in One
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Have used the printer for over a year with no problem.  I am running windows 8.1 with a wireless connection. Recently I cannot print a pdf. from my computer although I can print a word document.  First noticed the problem when it started to print a pdf and it stopped with a partial print of the 1st  page of 23.  Now it won't print a pdf.  When I attempt to print a pdf the side bar opens and says that the printer is offline.   My wife's mac computer has no problem printing the pdf. or anything else.  Tried the "print and scan doctor tool" and didn't help.  Followed a thread to clear the print spooler and that file was empty.  After restarting it, problem is still there.  Also just realized that I cannot print an img jpg. file.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

At first cancel all pending job from printer under Devices and Printers. Then restart the PC/Laptopand try toprint the JPG image file. Once remember if you print from PDF, please do not print big file size document, otherwise make problem same.

If you are using wifi print it will slowly document sending to the printer queue from PC/Laptop.

I hope you are understand and solved it.

Thanks,
Rashed

I did what you said and at first it didn't seem to work.  Then I realized that I had a several different versions of the printer in my device and printer folder.  So I eliminated the ones that didn't work until I found the one where I could print all the different types of files.  So I think I'm good.  Thanks
