Trying to print some photos onto 4x6 photo paper and having absolutely no luck.

Have tried to print from iPhone and Mac and the HP smart app. All I’m getting though is the bottom three quarters on the top of the paper.

I’ve checked settings, made sure the paper is in correctly and all I’m doing is wasting paper and ink.

If anyone can point me in the right direction then I would be grateful.

Don’t normally have to turn to forums but I’m missing or forgetting something here.

You are right that nothing should have changed -- that is, the printer supports what it has supported in the past.

That said, below find some of the places worth a "recheck" .

-------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps as a "basic test", try printing a photo on plain paper.

Reduce ink use by selecting a photo that includes less information - for example, a picture of a couple of boxes, circles, and the like.

This test does not solve the issue with using Photo paper, but it can perhaps help isolate the source of the problem.

Remember to modify Tray and Paper if you change the paper type for the test.

-------------------------------------------------------------

The printer should be clean and ready to do it's best work.

Comprehensive reply. I’m going to work my way though this. Paper is top end of acceptable so should have thought of at least trying a lighter weight first.
thanks for focusing my mind. Hopefully it’ll come good.
