DeskJet D1660
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I am trying to install my Deskjet D1660 onto my new latop but having problems. I can't find a driver. When I have used HP Easy Start it can't help. When I use HP Scan and Print Dcotor it recognises it as the wrong printer - and when I ask it to search it comes up with nothing.

My laptop when I ask it to search comes up with nothing but I can see it plugged in with the USB cable so it does exist and is turned on. Any help much appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Unfortunately, drivers are not available for this printer on the HP Support site. However, using Windows built-in driver may help. Let us try these steps:

Follow the steps mentioned in this document to add the Windows Built-in Print Driver.

Note: If you are unable to find HP Deskjet D1660 Printer in the driver list(Step 3- 8 in the document), only then select HP Deskjet 990c from the list and install the same which is the generic driver and will hold good for a HP Deskjet D1660 Printer.

Try to print.

Let me know how this goes.
