I have a Deskjet 2540, and recently set up a new computer using Windows 11. I had to download HP Smart app, which is all working perfectly, but now I can't find a way to cancel or pause printing, or see what's printing.

@Calypso3, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
When using Windows 11 with the HP Deskjet 2540 and managing print jobs through the HP Smart app, you may need to access the print queue to pause, cancel, or view ongoing print jobs. Here's how you can do it:
Accessing the Print Queue:
Open Devices and Printers:
- Click on the Start menu and type "Control Panel."
- Open the Control Panel and navigate to "Hardware and Sound."
- Click on "Devices and Printers."
Locate Your Printer:
- Find your HP Deskjet 2540 in the list of printers.
Open Print Queue:
- Right-click on the HP Deskjet 2540 printer icon.
- Select "See what's printing" from the context menu. This will open the print queue, allowing you to manage your print jobs.
Managing Print Jobs:
To Pause a Job:
- In the print queue window, click on the document you wish to pause.
- From the menu, select "Pause Printing."
To Cancel a Job:
- Simply right-click on the document you wish to cancel and select "Cancel."
Set Printer as Default (Optional):
- Make sure your HP Deskjet 2540 is set as the default printer in Windows 11, especially if there are issues with print jobs routing incorrectly.
- Right-click the HP Deskjet 2540 printer icon and choose "Set as Default Printer."
I hope this helps.
