I can't solve this error message.  I have done everything the Virtual Assistant suggested including rebooting the system and plugging the printer into a wall outlet.

"There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off, then on.  If problems persists, contact HP."

It's an HP OfficeJet Pro 8620.  Warranty ended in 2020.

It started when the yellow cartridge ran out of ink.  I replaced it with an HP branded yellow cartridge then the error message came up.  I tried putting in all new ink and that didn't solve it either.

I tried putting the old one back in and that didn't work either.

The printer will still scan.

Any ideas?

I understand that you are having issues with the printer or ink system. 

 

If you have already performed all the steps in this document and still having issues, this could be a hardware issue.
