HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

Have older HP 8610 printer.....getting a notice that one or more of the printer cartridges "appear to be damaged."  But now, after attempting to replace the cartridges, the printer carriage has moved back to the right and is remaining there.  It will not move back to the left when the door ios opened.  All I am getting now is that "the cover or door must be closed to print."

I'm not trying to print.  I just want to accress the print cartridges by haviong the carriage shift back to the left.

I know how to get to normally get to the reset area for support on the printer.  But it is not letting me get to that on the touch screen now.  II have turned off, and unplugged it from power many times, all to now avail.  Is there any trick on how to reset this so that the carriage might move back to the left

I understand that you are having issues with the carriage jam.

This looks like a hardware issue.
