I watched HP's video on how to locate the product and serial numbers on my printer, but they aren't either place: not on the back nor on the bottom.  I also looked inside the print cartridge area and everywhere else I could think of.  I could sure use some help as I need some help with a function and can't even access the HP help unless I have these two numbers.  Thanks to anyone who can help.  :HeartEyes:

Wow, Paint worked, who knew, certainly not me.  It would still be nice if I could find the serial number and product number in case I need them for another issue.  But thank you so much for the tip about Paint.  :generic:

Hi The_Fossette, thanks for offering to help.  I have watched that video, as I mentioned above and cannot find the numbers anywhere.  The problem I'm having is when trying to scan a document and push the "scan" button on the top of the printer, it says "no scan options", it beeps, and the ! next to the on button flashes.  I would like to try accessing fom my pc, but can't find out how to find the software to do that.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

@smalecd,

Thank you for the information.

I checked and see that the full feature software for Windows 7 is not available for your printer.

Follow the steps in the below article to install the printer on your computer.

For scanning, you can use the MSPAINT.  Search Windows for 'paint' to open the Paint desktop app, click File or the menu icon  , and then click From scanner or camera.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
