Hi @Pilar34,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the issue with the print spooler still running on your Android device even after canceling a print job for your HP 9010 series printer, follow these steps.

On your Android Device:

Clear Print Spooler Cache:

  • Go to Settings > Apps.
  • Tap on the three dots (or "More") and select Show System Apps.
  • Scroll down and tap on Print Spooler.
  • Tap on Storage and then Clear Cache.
  • If the problem persists, tap Clear Data as well.

Restart Your Device:

  • After clearing the cache and data, restart your Android device to ensure the changes take effect.

On your HP Printer:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Check the Printer Queue:

  • Ensure there are no pending print jobs in the printer's queue. You can do this from the printer's control panel by navigating to the print jobs section and ensuring it's empty.

On Your Network:

  1. Restart Your Router:
    • Sometimes, network issues can cause print jobs to remain stuck. Restart your router to refresh the network connection.

Additional Steps

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on the HP support website or through the printer’s settings menu.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • If you're using the HP Smart app on your Android device, uninstall and reinstall it to ensure it's functioning correctly.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with the print spooler running despite no jobs being in the queue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
