Our old Officejet 6000 was installed long ago (wired, not wireless, not ethernet).  The printer has since been given to our son to use at college with his Macbook.  Since then our two laptops and one desktop have been upgraded to Windows 10.  In doing some cleanup on my laptop, I tried to uninstall the HP Officejet (it has numerous other HP programs associated with it) but it won't uninstall.  Selecting the option to have all associated programs uninstalled also results in the laptop restaring and still having nothing uninstalled!!

How am I supposed to uninstall these HP programs?  Trying it in Safe Mode didn't work either.  I know it's no big deal to most folks but I just don't see the need for these useless programs to take up space on my computer(s).

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi List,

What operating system was your PC upgrded from?

More likely the installed software is intended or a previous windows version and not for Windows 10, therefore the uninstaller doesn't function as expected.

If your operating system was upgraded from Windows 7, run the following removal utility as described below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL31334/bi-77812-3/OJ6000vE609_Scrubber_14.exe

If your PC was upgraded from Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 use the following tool instead:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL31334/bi-110150-1/OJ_SF_6000_E609_140_408_Scrubber.exe

Note: if you aren't sure which version was installed, simply follow both of the tools.

Once the folder extracts launch Uninstall_L4.bat.

You will see a black command prompt dialog, if noting else happens aftrer 15 seconds press Enter once and the removal will begin.

Once all the dialogs complete reboot your PC as instructed.
