Deskjet 3636
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I visited a friend who bought a HP Deskjet 3636. He had the printer connected and running on his computer. I told him that he should be able to scan with the All-in-one-device, so I installed the printer software from the CD and got the scan-funtionality running. We didn't try to print anything at that time.

The next day my friend called me: He was unable to print after I installed the printer software...

So now I'm in trouble, tried to help my friend out and getting him into trouble.

I tried to connect the printer, but the software does 'see' the printer connected via USB.

Then I removed the printer and tried to clean the HP-installation components (it's an HP-laptop, so its difficult to distinguish between the HP printer software and the HP Laptop components). And reinstalled the printer software then it looks as if the software is 'seeing' the printer, but before it finishes it looses sight of the printer (pling-pling followed by plong-plong on the USB-port) and I get a red cross on the usb-wire in the setup-screen.

Then I tried to run the different options (HP Support assistant, HP Print and Scan Doctor, HP-stuurprogramma en de HP-software verwijderen, Downloaded DJ3630__Full_WebPack_1107.exe and installed it)

I can't get it connected again.

So please help me to get my friend's brand new HP Deskjet 3636 All-in-one printer running again.
