I have installed the CD software program for this rather old printer on my Windows 10 (64 bit) laptop. All seems to be working okay except I cannot access the HP Director. I attempted to check on HP's resources site, but it is not detecting any HP product on my laptop although the printer is plugged in and on. Also, I searched for the drive and drive update on the HP tools site. Although I see my printer listed on the drive page, it has no download button to click next to my model. I was attempting to see if the drive did indeed download when I installed the software. I still am not sure although most everything is working except for no access to the HP Director. I guess the basic question is whether or not this now quite old (but still fine printer) can operate on Windows 10. I was using it before on XP. I would appreciate any help with any of these issues. Thanks, Peggy

Hi,
The HP Director is not intended for Windows 10.
The original CD was made many years prior Windows 10 release.
Right click the start icon and select Programs and Features, then remove any installed HP Softwre of your printer.
Install the software by following the steps below:
Be aware that no full functionality is offered for Windows 10 as this is an older model, basic scan and pritn drivers are provided via the operating system itself.
See 'I've always used HP Solution Center and HP Toolbox. What will I use now?' within the document for further information.
