@ParmaInclusione, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
To assist you better, what model printer are you using?
Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.
I see that you are not able to print from the Google Drive. Apart from this, have you tried printing any other documents like webpages or emails and check if that prints?
Are you using the HP smart app to print?
Keep me posted.

Hi Kumar0307,
thank you for replying.
I'm using an Envy 5030. Yes, I tried printing an email but it doesn't work, the printer gives me the same error message. Instead of printing straight from the program, I can suck in the files from the Smart app, but I can obviously do it only if I saved them on my laptopo beforehand. As I said, this situation started after the last update.
Any help hugely appreciated

If the printer is connected wirelessly, follow these steps:
Install the printer using the TCP/IP port:
Check for any pending Windows updates first.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Remove the existing printer entry > click on Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless/ethernet icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing. Do not use the HP Smart app. Open the File > Print
Let me know how it goes.
