My HP Envy 7800 series printer will not print in color from my MacBook Air. I have re-installed the HP driver and still no luck. No problem with other devices such as cell phon and ipad, only the MacBook. Also, no problem printing color to other printers from the Macbook, only the HP 7800. Would appreciate any help I can get.

@rhodasong

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried changing the default presets settings?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application from this Mac PC?

While you respond to that, let's change the default print settings:

  • Open a document, photo, or webpage, and click File > Print to open the Print window.
  • Make sure your printer is selected, and then click Show Details if it displays to access the print settings available for your printer.
  • Click the drop-down menu in the center of the window to change the settings category and access all available settings.

Refer to the article HP print settings guide (Mac) https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2281139-2041471-16 and Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2281139-2041471-16 By the end of the article you will be able to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
