I cannot get the printer to print photos. Same issues as other people have posted on this forum. Photo will print on ordinary A4 paper, but it will not print on the gloss photo paper. Paper always gets jammed, it pulls the photo paper and A4 ordinary paper through together. Tried removing A4 paper, and just leaving photo paper in tray, and it just gets jammed. Sometimes it part prints just at the top of the glossy paper before it gets jammed. So frustrating, I have never managed to print a single photograph yet on this printer.

Printer - Tray and Paper

Printer must be aware of the paper size & type loaded and intended to be used.

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

Example - Tray and Paper

==========================

Printer - Software / Application - Custom Paper Size Form

If the paper size / type / weight is supported,

If the paper is not a standard size,

Consider the need to create a Custom Paper Size form.

Reminder:  When using a custom paper size, remember to select size Custom in EWS

==========================

Printer - Software / Application -

Select Source

Size / type match

Sometimes leaving the Source to "automatic" is not sufficient to actually select the tray being used.

For example, this printer model / series supports photo paper in Tray 2

The method to select the Source / Tray depends on the software / application used to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

Example - HP Smart - Windows - Simple Photo Print - 4x6

Note the need to select the paper size without tripping over a different paper type in the size selection

For example, do not select size Index Card 4x6 inch when using 4x6 in photo paper
