HP Deskjet 2320 (aka HP DJ 2300 series PCL3)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

I have just bought an HP Deskjet 2320, plugged via USB to my PC with Windows 7 Professional.

I can only print small documents (less than about 120kB). When documents are larger, with images for example, I cannot print, even a single page.

When I cannot print documents, they are not listed in the print queue. They never appear there!

I have already reinstalled the driver.

The printer firmware is up-to-date.

HP Print and Scan Doctor says everything if fine.

I don't see what I can do more.

Is there a print size limit somewhere?

Did you remove the driver from the root level before installing the new driver?

If not, follow these steps:-

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install the printer using the HP Smart app

Let me know how it goes.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to print large files, I am glad to assist you.

From which application are you trying to print?

Did you try to print from a different application and check if that prints large files?

Reply with the requested information for more assistance.

Cheers.

This time removing previous installation - more deeply - works.

I have only tried on few documents but everything looks fine now.

Thanks @Sandytechy20
