I cannot print anything, I get messages on my device saying things like "Print blocked by printer" or more often "Print Unsuccessful". On the printer there are no messages just the usual home screen. Then I get a bit screen on the printer with a picture of a power symbol and the code B3628EE9.
Any ideas please?

Hi @Rickshaw60,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "B3628EE9" on your HP M454dw printer indicates a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer back on and see if the issue persists.
- Check for Paper Jams: Open all doors and trays to check for any paper jams. Even a small piece of paper can cause printing issues. Make sure there is no obstruction in the paper path.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP support website for your printer model and download and install any available firmware updates.
- Check Printer Connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If using a USB cable, try using a different cable or connecting to a different USB port. If using a network connection, check the network settings on the printer.
- Printer Driver Issues: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website. Uninstall the current drivers and reinstall the updated ones.
- Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on the printer. This will reset all settings to their default values. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Check Toner Cartridges: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient toner. If a toner cartridge is low or empty, replace it with a new one.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I tried all of this and it made no difference at all, however I have now removed all HP software from my devices and the problem seems to have gone away, I can now print everything fine. A little bizarre but it appears to have been a HP software problem!!
