HP ENVY 6065e All-in-One Printer

I received a secondhand printer from a family member and cannot set it up through the HP app.

I'm getting error UA_400_EB000U0410, where it seems like the device is still connected to an old account. I tried a factory reset and still get the error.

What can I do to set up my printer?

Hi @koczanadon,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your secondhand HP printer is giving error UA_400_EB000U0410, which indicates it’s still linked to the previous owner’s HP account, and a factory reset hasn’t resolved it. Let’s go through a few steps to address this.

Confirm the printer is fully reset
Even after a factory reset, some HP printers retain previous account information. Make sure you performed the full Settings > Restore Defaults or Restore Factory Settings procedure from the printer menu.

Remove old HP account associations
Error UA_400_EB000U0410 occurs when the printer is still registered to another HP account. The previous owner must log into their HP account (via HP Smart or HP account website) and remove the printer from their devices list.

Power cycle after reset
Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on before attempting setup again. This ensures any cached account information is cleared.

Use the HP Smart app on a fresh device/account
Download HP Smart on your phone or computer and log in with your own HP account. Start the printer setup as a new device and avoid restoring settings from the old account.

Check network connection
Ensure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi or via USB properly. A stable connection is required for HP Smart to detect the printer and register it under your account.

I hope this helps.

I tried as much as I could, but unfortunately I still cannot reset the printer. I cannot reach the previous owner, so I will need some other way of setting up the printer.
