Hi,

 

I have an Envy 4504. It is connected to my home WiFi. It has an ip address and host name.

When trying to connect to the printer from any of my devices, including my lap top, they do not "see" or discover the printer. If I use WiFi direct (i.e. change my WiFi network connection on my devices to the printers projected WiFi) then I can find the printer and use HP Smart (from my Android, IPad and Laptop). I have tried resetting, restarting and the HP Print and Scan Dr, but it is not able to find the printer.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

The HP ENVY 4504 Printer supports 2.4 GHz networks only.

Make sure the computer is connected to the 2.4 GHz wireless (Wi-Fi) network, before starting the printer installation with the Full Software and Drivers for HP ENVY 4500 series All-in-One Printer.

Thanks Mans,

I am pretty sure the WiFi is 2.4 GHz.

But what about my android and other devices?
