Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi,

I can color print using the mobile app but can't find it under the options when printing in windows 10. I thought it could be because I didn't download the driver but it doesn't appear even after the installation. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,

May i know the printer model# to assist you better.

However you may try the below steps ...

  • Open the Word document you want to print.
  • hit the CTRL + P to open the print window.
  • Select your printer from the list.
  • Just below list box click on "Printer Properties" which would open a window. Click on tab "Paper/Quality"now click on the radio button besides "Color" and click on OK button.
  • Now hit on PRINT button to print in color.

Hello, Could you check if there are any pending WINDOWS 10 update to be installed . If yes, kindly install them and then restart the PC and then try printing.

Hello,

I'd suggest 2 steps....

(1)  based on the screenshot you attached, click on the "Advanced..." button. Under "Document Options , check for "Print in Gray scale" and set to "OFF".

If issue still persists, i'd suggest you to use HP SMART APP for Windows 10. Below is the URL.

Unfortunately, the problem persists even after trying both suggestions. The grayscale option that you have suggested does not exist in the advanced window (see the caps below). This did not change after I have installed the HP software. When you try to print a sample page through the app itself there is no problem selecting the color option but it didn't change the appearance of the MS word print options.

Hello,

What colors aren't printing? If you mean background colors, make sure that the option to print background colors and images is selected at File tab | Options | Display.
