Carri age Drive Belt broke.  I located a source for a replacement belt.  Cannot figure out how to install new belt.

How is it supposed to attach to the Carriage?  Does the printer have to be diaassembled?

Are instructions posted any place?

Consumer grade printers are not intended to be "field" serviced by the consumer.  "Service Manuals" are typically only supplied to authorized repair houses.

I did find this YouTube video that may help you.

There may be other videos -- open the YouTube page and scan the right column...

If it all seems too much and you love your printer, consider taking it to your local repair house -- ask for help.  You may find a tech that is willing to share the information -- or you can ask for an estimate to get the printer fixed.  Where to go?  Depends entirely on where you are located -- use your favorite search engine -- search for HP Printer Repair in your area.
