Like a broken record, there's only a few options to fix and none of them work. Must be a hardware problem. Great, set it up and used for a little over a year. Printed somewhere in the vicinity of 250 pages and the hardware breaks. My fault for not using it in the first year of ownership, so out of warranty. Buyers beware. HP tends to produce junk printers and doesn't really back their product much. Called the local authorized servicer and he indicated that the error likely is a dislodged or defective sensor and it would cost more for him to look at it than the printer is worth. So go buy another printer. Would be nice if I could open the printer up and locate the sensor and buy one for $1 or $2 to repair it myself, but no they use a unique screw and don't offer parts.
