Carriage is stuck on the right side of the printer and won't move out of the service station. Power cycling does not fix the issue. Nothing is blocking the carriage from moving. It appears the service station is not disengaging from the ink heads. May be a broken gear on the service station?

I have the same problem. Were you able to get help and fix it?

Hello Munzierl,

I used a Youtube video to fix my printer problem. It was caused by a small gear that was cracked. The gear drives the "service station" for the inkjet printer heads. When the printer is not in use, the service station caps the print heads to prevent it from getting dried out. Because the gear was cracked, the service station was not un-capping the print heads and prevented the print heads from moving.

I purchased the gear from the link in the video and replaced the broken gear. It isn't an easy fix but my printer had the broken gear and the new gear fix the issue.
