Thanks!
Looks like I will probably be doing the same now....
I had seen where someone tried really jiggling the carriage around and it "popped" it back in place.
Well...I just tried that and now I'm getting a new message saying Ink System Failure!
Looking at those messages, I'm now screwed lol. I probably just damaged the printer heads!
Ugh! So much for saving money!
Thanks Again!
Note to self...don't jiggle too hard LOL HARD!!!

I was able to resolve this issue with my printer. My carriage was stuck and would not move at all. Unplug and look into the printer. The carriage was on my right and would not budge, and there were not obstructions. I looked into the left, and saw the drive gears. I reached in with my hand and manually spun the large drive. It appeared to be stuck at first, and then moved. I was then able to move my ink carriage to the left. I place the carriage in the center of the printer, and reapplied power. The printer then went into maintainence mode for a bit, then reset to home. Worked perfectly afterward.
Hope this helps

My fix was to "gently" move the carrier that holds the ink cartridges. I had just replaced the black cartridge (far right), and the carrier stuck in the far right position. The error message was "cartridge damaged or missing." I couldn't reach back far enough to check, but some gentle nudging and wiggling along with lifting each cartridge up and reseating it to "click" worked.
I had previously tried all the reset techniques with no success. The manual effort to free it was the key. And I didn't have to "break into" the plastic housing above the carriage.
