Cartridge 61XL vs. 301XL

Dear HP Community: I have an Officejet 4630 printer and used it in the United States (New York) using HP 61XL black and color ink cartridges. I have moved to France and HP 61XL cartridges are not available. I was told to use HP 301XL black and color ink cartridges instead. My Officejet 4630 printed will not accept the 301XL cartridges even though I have reset my printer country as France.  What can I do here?  HP will not deliver 61XL ink cartridges to Europe.

I did speak with an HP representative in the United States about this issue and he referred me to HP-France (giving me the phone number). Apparently, you have to call HP France and go on-line with an HP technician who will alter your computer's programming to accept the HP 301XL cartridges used in Europe. I decided not to do this. I have friends visiting throughout the year and I will order HP 61XL cartridges to be sent to their homes in the United States. They will then bring the cartridges to France for me. Also Amazon.fr does offer original HP 61 XL cartridges for on-line purchase--with a two to three week delivery delay--probably because they are coming from the United States.   Charlie
