Our printer stopped printing today and shows an E next to Start Copy. At first the error on my computer was saying there's a paper jam and the light next to Resume was flashing. After opening the printer from the back and front and making sure there was no jam I restarted the printer. Then I tried printing again and it did not work. This time all of the orange lights are flashing and it's saying the issue is a cartridge stall. I've tried every troubleshooting method I could find. I've unplugged it and plugged it in again, removed the ink cartridges and reinstalled them, moved the cartridge back and forth to see if it's getting stuck, I've used HP Print and Scan doctor and nothing is working. It makes a loud clicking sound when the cartridge gets to each side of the printer and a loud noise when it first starts 'printing' a job. It doesn't take in any paper.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Did this happen after a power outage or surge?

If the issue continues, then the printer needs to be replaced. I am being honest about it here by keeping your best interest in mind.
