Screen says "cartridge jam".  The ink is stuck on the right and will not move.  There is no paper jam.  I've tried all the suggested fixes and nothing is working.  Help!

Hello,

Try the below steps, before you get the printer serviced/replaced.

  1. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  2. Open the cartridge access door.
  3. Look inside the printer (left side) to locate a set of gears. One of them would be white in color. Try rotating the gear until the carriage move to center.
  4. Close the cartridge access door.
  5.  Plug in the power cord to back of the printer. Wait until the Menus show up. Now try printing.

Hello,

Try uninstalling the printer software and use the below link to install the HP SMART APP.  Also, if the SMART APP prompts to update the software, go ahead with it.
