Hi @RM7752,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:
Make sure all ink cartridges are properly installed. Refer to the following steps to ensure the cartridges are correctly seated.
Open the ink cartridge access door by lifting from the front right until it locks into place.
Verify that the ink cartridges are installed in the correct slots by matching the shape of the icon and color of the ink cartridge with the slot that has the same shaped icon and color.
Run your finger along the top of the ink cartridges to locate any cartridges that are not snapped completely down.
Press down on any cartridges that are sticking up until they snap into place.
Close Print Carriage Latch:
- Lift the latch handle and carefully lower it to ensure it is securely closed. Leaving the latch handle raised can result in incorrectly seated ink cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait at least 60 seconds before reconnecting it.
- Turn the printer back on and check for the error message.
Clean and Reinstall Accessories:
- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
- Unplug the printer for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Reinstall the ink cartridges and check the printer status on your account page.
If the error persists:
Use Another Ink Cartridge:
- If you have another HP Instant Ink cartridge on hand, try installing it. If not, contact HP Instant Ink support for assistance or replacement.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP Printer Firmware Update page for guidance.
I hope this helps.
