Hi @GP94,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with the "cartridges not communicating" error on your HP 9125e. While I can’t message you directly, I can guide you through a few more troubleshooting steps:
Step 1: Check Cartridge Compatibility
- Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your printer model.
Step 2: Inspect the Cartridges
- Check for Damage: Look for any visible damage to the cartridges or the contacts.
- Clean the Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water to clean the metal contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
Step 3: Reset the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer: Unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it Back In: Reconnect the power and turn the printer on.
Step 4: Update Printer Firmware
- Check for any firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the HP website.
Step 5: Test with Different Cartridges
- If possible, try using a different set of cartridges to determine if the issue is with the cartridges themselves.
Step 6: Check for Obstructions
- Ensure there’s no debris or obstruction in the cartridge compartment.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
