Hi.  I am receiving the error message "cartridges not communicating" on my HP 9125e. 

 

I have tried unplugging for 60 seconds with no change.  

 

I have tried removing, cleaning and reinstalling the cartridges with no change.

 

I'd like to get help resolving this via a direct conversation.  Please message me to help resolve this problem.

It sounds frustrating to deal with the "cartridges not communicating" error on your HP 9125e. While I can’t message you directly, I can guide you through a few more troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Check Cartridge Compatibility

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with your printer model.

Step 2: Inspect the Cartridges

  • Check for Damage: Look for any visible damage to the cartridges or the contacts.
  • Clean the Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water to clean the metal contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.

Step 3: Reset the Printer

  1. Turn Off the Printer: Unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Plug it Back In: Reconnect the power and turn the printer on.

Step 4: Update Printer Firmware

  • Check for any firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Step 5: Test with Different Cartridges

  • If possible, try using a different set of cartridges to determine if the issue is with the cartridges themselves.

Step 6: Check for Obstructions

  • Ensure there’s no debris or obstruction in the cartridge compartment.
