Cartridge not installed properly when it is!

Envy 5030 all-in-one printer
macOS 10.12 Sierra

My Envy cartridge has been correctly installed - I know I have installed them dozens of times before - but repeatedly get error message telling me to remove and reinstall cartridge. I have tried unplugging, turning off both printer and my Macbook Air and resetting the printer to factory settings - everything I can think of - any ideas anyone? Pease help - Desperate of Cambridge,UK, thanks x Florrie

I understand the ink cartridge is not working right. Which of the ink cartridge has this error?

This printer supports printing in single cartridge mode. Insert one cartridge at a time to identify the defective ink cartridge.

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

Make sure the plastic tape if any, is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the defective ink cartridge. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
