A couple of days ago my printer came up with an error message saying "Cartridge Problem: One or more cartridges are missing or damaged...". Above this message were all 4 colours (which I take to mean all 4 cartridges were damaged). I have since replaced all 4 cartridges, yet this message persists. I have restarted the printer, checked its firmware is up to date and turned it off/on at the wall, but to no avail.

I have read recomendations elsewhere to clean the electrical contacts of the cartridges - I'm not sure if this would help here, since I think the error message is saying all 4 (new) cartridges are supposedly broken too, and dodgy connections in all 4 cartridges seems unlikely to occur simultaneously?

Any help much appreciated!!

@WoofHound, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'm afraid the issue is with the printhead of the printer as it is not recognizing 2 sets of ink cartridges. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
