Hi @Shasha33
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP printer cartridges are stuck on the right side and won’t move, it’s likely due to a carriage jam or an obstruction inside the printer. Here’s how to fix it:
1. Power Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Open the cartridge access door and check if the carriage moves.
2. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Open the printer and inspect the carriage path.
- Remove any loose paper, debris, or ink buildup that might be blocking movement.
3. Manually Move the Carriage
- With the printer turned off, gently try to slide the carriage to the center.
- If it’s stuck, check if a plastic latch or roller is preventing movement.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the printer and hold the power button for 30+ seconds.
- Plug it back in and restart.
5. Check HP Support Forums for Model-Specific Fixes
- Some HP models require removing a side panel to free the carriage.
- You can find detailed steps here and here.
