Hi @Gxblemon,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9019 or Premier All-in-One Printer's cartridges are stuck on the right side, and you're receiving an error message about something being stuck, it could be related to a hardware issue or a sensor detecting something incorrectly.

Here’s what you can do to try to resolve the issue:

Steps to resolve the issue:

Power Off the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.

Manually Move the Printhead:

  • Open the printer access door to reveal the cartridges.
  • Gently try to move the printhead assembly toward the center. Be careful not to force it if it's stuck tightly.
  • If it moves, check for any bits of paper or debris that might be stuck in the printer's path.

Check for Paper Jams or Debris:

  • Look inside the printer, especially around the carriage and printhead area, for any small pieces of paper, debris, or objects that might be blocking the printhead. Use a flashlight if needed to inspect hard-to-see areas.

Reinstall Cartridges:

  • Once you can move the carriage, remove the ink cartridges carefully.
  • Inspect them and the printhead for any debris or damage.
  • Reinsert the cartridges and ensure they click into place properly.

Reset the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Perform a printer reset by following these steps:
    • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    • Wait 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
    • Turn the printer back on.

Run a Printer Diagnostic:

  • Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to the "Settings" or "Tools" menu and perform a self-diagnostic or cleaning cycle. This might help reset any sensors that are misreading the issue.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes firmware updates fix hardware and sensor issues. Use the HP Smart app or the HP website to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.

Hard Reset (If the Above Fails):

  • A factory reset might help resolve the issue, but be aware that this will erase any network settings. You can usually perform this from the printer’s settings menu under "Restore Defaults" or "Reset All Settings."

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
