HI @Rosiezig,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the cartridges that came with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer will not click into place, it could be due to several reasons such as incorrect installation, obstructions in the cartridge slots, or issues with the cartridges themselves. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Step 1: Verify Cartridge Compatibility
- Check the Cartridges:
- Ensure that you are using the correct cartridges for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. The compatible cartridges are typically HP 962, HP 962XL, or HP 966XL.
Step 2: Inspect the Cartridges and Slots
- Gently remove any cartridges that you have already tried to install.
- Check the cartridges for any visible damage or obstructions.
- Ensure that the protective tape or plastic cover has been removed from the contacts and nozzles.
- Use a flashlight to check the inside of the cartridge slots for any obstructions or debris.
- Ensure that there are no broken pieces or packaging materials inside the slots.
Step 3: Properly Insert the Cartridges:
- Make sure the printer is turned on before attempting to insert the cartridges.
- Hold the cartridge by its sides with the nozzles facing the printer.
- Insert the cartridge into the corresponding slot and gently but firmly push it in until it clicks into place.
Step 4: Reset the Printerr:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.:
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Step 5: Align the Printhead
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Setup menu.
- Select Printer Maintenance or Tools.
- Choose Align Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 6: Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e) and check for any available firmware updates.
- Follow the instructions on the website to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
