My Deskjet 2540 prints page 2 before page 1; can I change the order so that it prints page 1, then page 2, then page 3, etc, and if so, HOW?

Ah... sorry.  This printer does not have a duplexer so you can not do two sided printing.  You must manually do this by printing the odd pages first, then put them back in and print the even pages.  Sorry.

Sure, just select Printer Preferences and change the page order to Front to Back.

Many thanks for your advice, but the 2540 does not seem to offer that possibilty - at least I cannot find that option.

You always have Printer Preferences.  Start/Device and Printers, right click your printer and select it.  Now try.

Once again, Distinguished Professor, thank you for your patience. I do in fact already know how to get into Printing Preferences, but once there I cannot find any option to change to Front to Back; the HP2540 simply does not seem to offer that option. In the past I have used other printers which DO have such an option - am I simply missing something in this new-to-me printer?  Alan

You have no need to apologise - not your fault.  I note: "Say thanks by clicking the Kudos Star in the post.
If my post resolved your problem, please mark it as an Accepted Solution ..." and I want both to say thank you, AND that my problem is solved - in so far as is possible; BUT I am so 'green' at this messaging thing that I can't find either the Kudos Star, or the Accepted Solution box - SOOOO  - thank you for this solution!  Alan

I have a 3830 printer and also want to change the order of printing pages, front to back, NOT back to front; how do I do this?
