I was trying to customize the printer's name to one that appears more correctly.
Done it through "printer properties" under "Devices and Printers", but it reverts back to the previous name after some time.
Someone online suggests using the EWS, but I can't find the right place after searching high and low for it.
OR I've missed out something?

In windows, if you want to change your printer name, open control panel, Devices & printers, then right-click on properties over your chosen printer and in the general tab, change the name as desired.
To change the printer's hostname:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless
” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- If you get a security notification, click on proceed to this website.
- Go to Networking tab > Hostname > change it as desired > apply > OK
Let me know how this goes.

You will not be able to change the printer name as it is embedded on the firmware of the printer. You may however change the name that appears on the PC- Devices and printers, or the printer's host name on the network as mentioned in my previous post.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
