Hi @tim448,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I’m sorry you’re facing this issue with your Chromebook and HP P1505 printer. It’s frustrating when everything seems connected, but the printer just doesn’t respond. Let’s work on getting it sorted out.

  • Have you set the HP P1505 as the default printer on your Chromebook?
  • Are there any error messages displayed on the printer or Chromebook when you attempt to print?
  • Is the printer connected via USB or Wi-Fi, and have you tried using a different connection method?

Let's try these steps.

Verify Printer Setup on Chromebook:

  • Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers and confirm that the HP P1505 is listed.
  • If it isn’t, click Add Printer and manually add it.

Check Printer Compatibility:

  • Confirm that the HP P1505 is compatible with ChromeOS. If it requires special drivers, visit HP’s website to ensure you’re using the correct configuration or setup guidelines for Chromebooks.

Re-add the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from the Chromebook:
    • Go to Printers under Settings, click the three dots next to the HP P1505, and select Remove.
  • Re-add the printer, ensuring it is properly recognized.

Test with a Different Connection Method:

  • If connected via USB, try a different port or USB cable.
  • If the printer supports Wi-Fi or network printing, connect the printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebook and try printing wirelessly.

Restart Devices:

  • Power off the Chromebook and the printer completely.
  • Restart both devices and attempt to print again to refresh the connection.

If these steps don’t resolve the problem, it may be necessary to update ChromeOS or explore a potential compatibility issue between the printer and Chromebook.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
