Color print quality is poor, only color seen on Diagnostics sheet is yellow and light yellow. Cyan, Magenta,  Light Cyan, light Magenta are not seen in in Print Quality  Diagnostics sheet.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer is having issues with color printing, particularly with missing Cyan, Magenta, and related colors on the diagnostics sheet. 

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue:
 

1. Check the Ink Levels:

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer software on your Windows 11 computer.
  • Verify if the Cyan, Magenta, and other cartridges are low or empty. If any cartridge is depleted, replace it with a new genuine HP ink cartridge.

2. Perform a Printhead Cleaning:

  • Open the printer software on your PC or go through the control panel on your printer.
  • Navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the printhead. You may need to run the cleaning cycle multiple times to unclog any nozzles.

3. Print a Test Page:

  • After cleaning the printhead, print another diagnostics or test page.
  • Check if the missing colors (Cyan, Magenta, etc.) are now visible.

4. Inspect the Printhead for Clogs:

  • If cleaning doesn't resolve the issue, there might be a clog in the printhead. You can try a more thorough printhead cleaning by accessing the Advanced Cleaning option in the same Printer Maintenance settings.

5. Reinstall the Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and carefully remove all ink cartridges.
  • Inspect the cartridges for any damage or leaks.
  • Wipe the cartridge contacts gently with a clean, lint-free cloth.
  • Reinsert the cartridges and ensure they are properly seated.

6. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on to reset the system.

7. Update the Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer 

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can update it through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
