Product: Photosmart 7520 printer

I have a Photosmart 7520. I am doing an art project (making patches for uniforms-washed frequently) and need to print from an ink jet printer onto fabric paper from the art supply store. First, is this an ink jet printer? Second, someone told me that my printer ink cartridges would not be sufficient. That I need a permanent pigment. Is there a different ink? Third, if I use the regular ink to transfer a picture to fabric paper, will the color survive 2 months of laundering, or will it wash out quickly?

HP printer will not come with any special ink.

 

Refer to the below link and check the supported Media type under paper handling in your printer.
