I have recently switched to HP instant ink and now my printer is not printing correctly; blue coloring is coming out pink and green is coming out yellow. All ink levels are showing ok and I have tried all the maintenance task items.

Hi @tjbradford1989,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you are experiencing color accuracy issues with your HP OfficeJet 6954 printer after switching to HP Instant Ink, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Here are some suggestions.
Check Instant Ink Account:
- Make sure that your Instant Ink account is active and that the cartridges sent to you are correctly associated with your printer.
Check Ink Levels:
- Verify that the ink levels for all cartridges are sufficient. Sometimes, even if the levels seem okay, the cartridges might still be low or expired. Replace any low or expired cartridges.
Clean Print Heads:
- Use the printer's software or control panel to initiate a print head cleaning process. This can help remove any dried ink or debris that may be affecting print quality.
Alignment:
- Perform a print head alignment to ensure that the printer is depositing ink accurately on the paper. This can be done through the printer's software or control panel.
Color Calibration:
- Check if your printer has a color calibration option. Some printers allow you to adjust the color settings to improve color accuracy. Follow the instructions in your printer manual to find and use this feature.
Update Firmware/Software:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware and software are up to date. HP often release updates that can improve printer performance.
Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Uninstall the printer driver on your computer and reinstall it. This can sometimes resolve communication issues between the computer and the printer.
Check Paper Quality:
- Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Using inappropriate paper may affect print quality.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to check if the issue persists. This can help you identify whether the problem is specific to certain documents or if it's a general printing issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
