Hi,

I have a question about my all in one printer HP Officejet pro 6820 e-all in one. For the moment he is connected to my network via WiFi but my modem is overloaded with WiFi devices. And now I’m trying to connect the most devices with Ethernet cable. Now I want just to know when I connect my printer to wired Ethernet, if I still can use AirPrint for my mobile devices? iPhone iPad etc...

If your wireless and wired are sharing the same network address pool. IE:192.168.1.xxx then yes it will work. If your wireless is a different address range it will still work but you would need to create a routing rule on your router to connect the two networks. In most cases, it should work automatically.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick answer, tomorrow once I have placed the UTP cable, I will check this and if not I will make a rule, if it’s not automatically like you said.

Hi Repairatrooper,

I have both, wireless and wired on the same network after my own router, TP-Link Archer C7v5.

but once my printer will be connected wired, I will not use the wireless mode anymore. It’s to relieve my wireless network. Everything what’s possible to connect with a cable, is now almost already connected wired. Now I use the wireless setup only for my mobile devices. I was forgetting to mention this before...

my apology.
