Sharing a network printer just does not make sense. By its very nature being on a network it is shared. It just adds complexity.

I have an OfficeJet L7580 and want to connect a 2nd computer to the printer wirelessly. I have already connected printer via cable to my router, but can't get second computer to print. am I missing a driver? Does it matter what port I plug into for the router? OSU83

Thanks so much for the comprehensive reply. My only additional question: how do I browse to the printer & find its IP address? I have conencted it via ethernet cable to my router but do not see it showing up as a device. Thank you.

Print a Wireless Network Test from the Network menu on the front of the printer to get its IP address.
Type that address into the address (not search) bar of a browser.
