Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I try to connect to a wifi-router with Protected Management Frames (PMF) activated. I found this related support article: https://support.hp.com/sk-en/document/c05240288

The newest firmware version 2025A (Jul 16, 2020) is installed. Nevertheless the connection fails.

@DanielYK
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried connecting to your previous router?
  • Are you able to connect other devices to your home network?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Yes, connecting to the previous router works (without PMF).

And other network devices can connect to the new network (with PMF) without problems, only this printer has problems with it.

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a nice day!!

I see no need to contact by phone. Besides, it does not help other users with the same problem.

Could you clarify if the firmware version supports PMF? And could you provide the previous firmware version for testing?

I do not think the issue is related to hardware. Could you please answer my questions regarding the firmware?

  • Does the actual firmware version supports Protected Management Frames (PMF; 802.11w)?
  • Could you provide the previous firmware version for testing?

To get the answer to this question, the latest Firmware Update is 2025A and no previous Firmware drivers available for this printer.

As they are not tested by HP and may not be accurate. You can check the functionality at your own discretion.
