HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought this Printer about a year ago and haven't had any problems until last month. Anytime I print, it continuously has a paper jam. I have removed all paper jams, bought brand new paper, cleaned it with compressed air, checked the settings on the paper loaded, followed the instructions for a complete power drain, and have checked to confirm the latest updates are completed. Please help as this is the only printer I have for my non profit organization.

Thank you.

Hi @J1496 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to experience continuous paper jams, especially when you rely on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e for important work. Since you've already taken several steps to troubleshoot, let's try some additional strategies to resolve the issue:

1. Check for Obstructions in the Paper Path:

  • Remove all paper: Open the printer and check the entire paper path for any small pieces of paper, debris, or foreign objects that may have been missed. Use a flashlight to look deep into the rollers and areas where paper might get caught.
  • Clean the paper feed rollers: If you haven't already, manually clean the paper feed rollers. Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the rollers.

2. Inspect and Load Paper Properly:

  • Use high-quality paper: Ensure you are using high-quality paper that is not bent, wrinkled, or curled. Avoid loading too much paper at once; load a small stack to see if that makes a difference.
  • Fan the paper stack: Before loading, fan the stack of paper to ensure that no sheets are stuck together.

3. Adjust Paper Settings:

  • Paper Type and Size Settings: Ensure that the paper type and size settings in the printer driver match the paper you are using. Mismatched settings can cause jams.
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners in Windows 11.
    • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e, then click Manage > Printing preferences and check the paper settings.

4. Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Although you mentioned that the latest updates are completed, it’s a good idea to double-check that the printer firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues that lead to paper jams.
  • To update the firmware, open the HP Smart app or go to the HP Support website, enter your printer model, and check for any available updates.

5. Reset the Printer:

  • A hard reset can sometimes clear out any internal errors. Unplug the printer while it’s on, wait 60 seconds, and then plug it back in.

6. Check for Paper Jam Sensors Issues:

  • If the sensors that detect paper jams are dirty or malfunctioning, the printer may falsely report a jam. Try cleaning the sensors with compressed air or a soft brush.

7. Test with Different Paper Types:

  • Try printing on different types or brands of paper to see if the problem persists. Some printers are more sensitive to certain types of paper.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
