HP all in one

Hello,

I contacted customer support to seek help regarding a faulty cyan cartridge and after being told it was out of warranty and couldn't be fixed without my paying for an extended warranty I complained and was contacted by someone claiming to be a support escalation rep who said he could send me a replacement but I would need to provide my credit card via a link that was emailed to me. It didn't feel right so I told him I was uncomfortable and he said he would try to waive the fee and would email the details.

Was I right to be uncomfortable with this call? Is there a way to verify with customer support directly if this was real or a scam?

Thanks!

Sounds wrong to me.

I am naturally suspicious.

Too, we don't know who you contacted.

What?  Does not matter - do not post contact links or ANY private information here, please.
